Shri Ramu, son of Shri Poornamasi (age 35 years), is a resident of Village Kalli Paschim, Post —, District Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. There are five members in his family. Earlier, he was unemployed and the family was facing financial hardship. Due to insufficient income, the family had to face many challenges. He stated that he contacted Uttar Pradesh Gramin Vikas Bank, Mohanlalganj Branch, where he received information about the NSFDC scheme. Thereafter, he availed a loan of ₹3,50,000/- under the NSFDC scheme (LVY) for purchasing an auto rickshaw, which is to be repaid within 5 years. The quarterly installment of the loan is ₹20,376/-. He now earns about ₹28,000 to ₹29,000 per month. Instead of paying quarterly installments, he deposits ₹9,000/- every month towards loan repayment. His two children are studying, and he is able to pay their school fees. With a family of five members, the income from the auto rickshaw is sufficient for their livelihood. His financial condition has improved significantly compared to earlier, and he is very satisfied with this business.
