Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment

Dr. Virendra Kumar (born on 27 February 1956) is a senior Indian politician and a Member of Parliament from Tikamgarh constituency of Madhya Pradesh. He is currently serving as the Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment. He holds a Doctorate degree and has long parliamentary experience, having represented the people of Madhya Pradesh in both legislative and ministerial capacities. With a strong commitment to social justice and inclusive governance, he has been actively involved in policy formulation and implementation for the welfare of Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized sections of society. He firmly believes in the philosophy of “Antyodaya”, focusing on empowerment of the weakest sections and ensuring equitable and sustainable development.
